What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They let a site remember things, such as whether you’re logged in or which cookie choices you’ve made. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in a comparable way, and this policy covers them too.
Cookies we use now
RoadReadyHub doesn’t currently use advertising or analytics cookies. The cookies set by the site itself are:
- Comment cookies. If you leave a comment and tick the box to save your details, WordPress stores your name, email address and website so you don’t have to type them again. These last for just under a year.
- Login cookies. These are only used by the site team when logging in to manage the website. Visitors don’t receive them.
These cookies are strictly necessary for features you’ve chosen to use, so they don’t need your consent.
Advertising cookies
We plan to show ads provided by Google AdSense. Once ads are switched on, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to:
- show ads and limit how often you see the same one
- measure whether ads are seen and clicked
- detect and prevent ad fraud
- show personalised ads based on your visits to this and other websites, if you agree
Before any non-essential cookies are used, visitors in the UK and EEA will see a consent message where you can accept or refuse them, and you’ll be able to change your choice later. We’ll add the advertising cookies to this page when ads go live.
